I was quite impressed by the the location of this restaurant. It is in the heart of Sandton, right at the top of the Michaelangelo Towers. Those in the know will tell you that 'this' is where the rich and affluent play. You can tell from the excellent service you recieve as soon as you walk in through their doors that you are in for a fine dining experience and an evening of prestine service.
The Restaurant boasts a lovely ambiance and the food there is devine. We tried some of their House Wines, which we found were very well selected and complemented most of the dishes on their menu.
On the Menu:
I loved the Lamb Phyllo (bottom left) which is a Pastry pocket of deboned Lamb embedded on some mash with a side serving of vegetables. Apart from being slightly over-salted I could find no fault with the dish.
A friend of mine, Ayanda, tried the Queen Prawns in Lemon butter and garlic (bottom right). She found the dish quite enjoyable and filling as well. She particulary liked the fact that the prawns were served with both Chips and Rice for starch.
I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant fine dining evening out.
